Thanks again to my pal, Vincent, I have discovered a wonderfully a propos short film that speaks volumes… love, relationships & the consumer. See the film: The Break Up. This short is brought from Geert a marketing manager at Microsoft in Belgium. Here’s his “Bring the Love Back” blog. What I particularly like about this film is the parallel between the marketing manager’s challenges and the societal challenges we are facing. People are desperate for personalized attention, whether it be from the media we are consuming or the people surrounding us. Referring to the comments (in a prior blog) that Ms. Jackson made at the reunion, there is a general attention deficit — and I believe there is no medication other than good old fashioned TLC to get over it. People, much less marketers, need to listen more and better.
