If this is true, it shows that the landscape is fast changing and Microsoft is scrambling for new directions. The biggest competition Microsoft is going to face is from the open platform developments — witness the implicit rapprochement with Apple. Thus, it needs to find ways to have a closer relationship with the public. The brand “Microsoft” could find a new way to hearts of people.
