Minter Dialogue with Mitch Joel
Mitch Joel, who was my first ever guest, and who accepted to return for the 10-year anniversary episode of my podcast. Mitch is an Investor, Author, Speaker and Decoder of the future. His two books, Six Pixels of Separation & CTRL ALT Delete have both been deeply influential in my life. He’s an active blogger and is one of the original pioneers in podcasting.
We discuss the importance of art, fiction, music and comics. We look at the noxious issue of shame, take perspective on the last decade in the midst of the pandemic, and zoom in on how consumer habits and behaviours have changed. We also explore how communication has changed and look at what deregulation of the big tech companies could look like.
“No art, no life.”

Music credit: The jingle at the beginning of the show is courtesy of my friend, Pierre Journel, author of the Guitar Channel. And, the new sign-off music is “A Convinced Man,” a song I co-wrote and recorded with Stephanie Singer back in the late 1980s (please excuse the quality of the sound!). ***If you haven’t seen, I’ve got a bi-weekly newsletter that always provides exclusive content, entertaining and thought provoking videos and thoughts, as well as an update on the latest!
